I love clouds. I think they are wonderful, magnificent, and majestic phenomena, and I am so grateful to be able to witness them, alhamdu Lillah ["Praise be to God"]. Whilst many may look for patterns in clouds, such as animals, countries, and a myriad of other 'sets of forms/objects' (which I myself also do, still), I often think of clouds as like a giant ark of 'animals', in all their various shapes and sizes (whilst still generally following certain 'domains/classes' i.e. cumulus, mammatus, stratus, etc.), traversing (or even migrating across) the skies (the description of the metaphor itself inspired by Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within). Other times, particularly when stratocumulus clouds populate the skies, I think of 'sky battles', à la space battles from Battlestar Galactica (the re-imagined series, admittedly) and perhaps Star Wars, too. Anywho, digression aside, here is a relatively early compilation of timelapses (set to the piece of music, Sense of Touch, by Mark Isham, taken from the Crash soundtrack) that I took at various locations on my former camera, a Canon 500D (something I'm very grateful for owning and being able to do such things with). Whilst I don't like to feel proud in general (as I link it with Pride in the sense of Arrogance), this is something I feel a sense of accomplishment with, as I often have lots of ideas for 'films' and whatnot in my mind that I wish I could share, yet can't often (or simply don't know how to) realise into a physical form that can be shared with others, and this is one of those few things where I seem to have overcome that hurdle, which is why I share it with you. I hope you enjoy it:
